Eligibility and Enrollment Process

Only current UC Santa Barbara students are eligible for UCSB Mobility Transport Services. To be considered, students must submit a completed accommodation form along with medical certification documenting their mobility limitation.

Accepted documentation may come from Student Health, the Disabled Students Program (DSP), or any qualified medical provider, in accordance with Section 504 and Title II guidelines. Incomplete or missing documentation will delay access to services. All documentation is reviewed by the Program Manager for authorization.

Qualification Criteria

UCSB Mobility Transport Services are available to students with temporary or permanent mobility limitations who qualify based on medical necessity. Services are limited according to the nature and necessity of the mobility limitation.

Application and Approval Process

  • To begin, students must complete the required form with current and relevant information (less than 30 days).
  • Within 24 hours of receiving your request, the Program Manager or Assistant will contact you to confirm eligibility and provide instructions for ride scheduling and service access.
  • Once approved, you will receive notification of your service start date and, if applicable, your end date.
